Navajo artist, Helen Tsosie (pronounced sew-see), is heavily influenced by the Santo Domingo style of heishi necklaces. She has become known for combining the traditional heishi necklace with tumbled colorful stones. Helen Tsosie has combined Purple Spiny Shell with red coral, blue lapis, turquoise and white shell beads to make this wonderful three strand necklace.
